ABOUT THE VILLAGE
Megalovriso is a village that belongs to the mountain of Kissavos. Kissavos is a mountain in Larissa’s regional unit ,in Thessaly, Greece.It is 1,978 meters (6,940ft) high and is located between Pelion to the south and Olympus to the north, separated from the latter by the Vale of Tempe.
House is located 7 kilometers from the town of Agia (there you can find small shops ,a supermarket etc.) and only 18 kilometers from the sea (Agiokampos-Aegean sea) The beach is 16km long (one of the biggest in Greece) with small bays ,where you could eat and drink around the beach as there are lots of restaurants and coffee bars.
In the village, there is an Artistic Area where you could book an appoiment and make different stuff with clay. Every year there are mountain biking competitions in our village.It is ideal for breaks that want to combine the tranquility of nature and relaxation on the beach. You could do small trips around the near villages ,or bigger by visiting a couple of sights and attractions like Valley Tempi, Meteora ,Plastira’s Lake ,Pilio Mountain.
" A wonderfully small village high up in the mountains. Very calm and cool and a great ambiance. The house is charming and authentic and we really got the ‘local’ feeling during our stay there. Not touristy at all. Between this and the smaller cove beaches below (a bit to the south), it’s a great vacation spot!"

Located in Southern Kissavos (Mount Ossa), Alexandra’s Cottage House is a meticulously restored farmhouse. Originally built in 1928 the house restored in 1998 without losing its initial authenticity. Alexandra’s Cottage House is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Greek countryside.

Alexandra and her family were very nice, they welcomed us and gave us all the details we needed. If you are looking for a more traditional experience in the area this is the place to be. In the house you will find everything you need and more (the yard is a great place to have a glass of wine and just look at the night sky.

About Us
The house was built in 1928. In 1998, Alexandra and Yiannis decided to buy this house and make a renovation without losing any element of its authenticity. The two of them were those who undertook the whole renovation with a lot of care and love for what they did.
Alexandra, as a teacher of art, knew exactly what he had to create so that the house shine again. Many of her creations adorn the house. Our family likes to know new people from all over the world and share different views and ideas. We love the idea that different people will learn our place and it is always a great pleasure to welcome you to our home and to be there always to help you with what you need during your stay
